Aria Telecom selected among 10 companies in race to develop made-in-India Zoom rival

The Government of India has selected 10 companies to prepare the Desi Video Zoom App. Its first phase includes HCL Technologies, Zoho Corp, and PeopleLink. Giving information, a government official said that these companies will be given Rs 5 lakh for making the Indian Zoom Version. After this, in the second phase, three of these ten will be asked to make the complete app and each will be given Rs 20 lakh. 
Aria Telecom, CyberHorizon Corp, Darsh, Instrive Softlabs, PeopleLink Unified Communications and Data Ingenious are also included in this list.
“There are many advantages of having an Indian VC product, one is that the solution can be in all Indian languages, and it can be locally hosted. This is important since when video is recorded say for legal purposes, it should be stored in India and the encryption key should also be available in India. This is not possible with foreign VC tools.” Sarv Webs also from Jaipur, Soulpage IT Solutions, Techgentsia Software Technologies and VaC are also part of the ten company list.
